STORMWATER FACILITIES DATABASE

Home

Welcome to the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust (UPRCT) Stormwater Facilities Database. The catchment database is a central store of information about major flood mitigation, trunk drainage and water quality structures in the Upper Parramatta River and adjoining catchments within the local Government areas of Baulkham Hills, Blacktown, Holroyd and Parramatta.

The purpose of this database is to manage and store information regarding water quality and quantity control facilities. The Stormwater Facilities Database helps the Trust to meet some of its key management objectives.

  • Ensure proper maintenance, repair and enhancement of the stream, trunk drainage and flood mitigation system for optimum performance, safety and amenity.
  • Promote, protect and enhance the environmental and recreational values of streams and streambanks, in partnership with all levels of government and the community.
  • Build community support for the Trust's objectives by providing advice, information, literature and opportunities for effective community participation in its activities.

For the four local Councils and other facility owners the database provides a resource which contains historical, design and operational information as well as a record of maintenance inspections. Authorised staff can log in to the database to edit information about assets under their control.

For the local Community the database provides information about the role and location of these vital assets.
